What should you know about chronic caseous tonsillitis?

Tonsils have small folds called crypts. Mucus, food particles, shed cells, and bacteria can collect there and form small pale lumps, often called tonsil stones. This is different from every episode of acute Tonsillitis, which may bring sudden pain, fever, and inflamed tonsils. A clinician may examine your throat and ask about repeated infections, swallowing difficulty, breath odour, or an Earache. Drink fluids, brush your teeth and tongue, and gargle with warm salt water if it is comfortable. Do not dig deeply into the tonsils with sharp objects, as this can cause bleeding or injury.
