Can cellulitis cause muscle pain?

Cellulitis commonly makes the skin tender, hot, red, and swollen. When inflammation lies over an arm or leg, movement or pressure can make nearby tissues feel sore, and the discomfort may be described as an ache. Pain that feels deep in the muscle, is much stronger than the visible skin changes, or appears with weakness has other possible explanations and should not be attributed to cellulitis without assessment.
