Cellulite on the arms: before and after

Cellulite on the upper arms may appear as shallow dimples, rippling or uneven texture. Its visibility changes with posture, muscle tension, lighting, camera angle and skin hydration. A convincing comparison uses similar clothing, distance, lighting and arm position, with enough time after treatment for temporary swelling or redness to settle. A smoother image does not necessarily mean every dimple has disappeared.

Have a qualified clinician examine the arm rather than choosing from a photograph alone. Contact the treating clinic if pain, swelling, heat, blistering or redness is worsening rather than settling, or if drainage develops. New widespread redness with fever or feeling unwell needs prompt medical assessment because it may indicate infection, not an expected cosmetic change. Sudden one-sided arm swelling also deserves medical review.
