Cat-scratch fever usually refers to cat-scratch disease, an infection associated with a cat scratch or bite. It may cause a small bump at the contact site, fever, fatigue, and swollen lymph nodes near the area. The same symptoms can have other causes, and antibiotics may not shorten an uncomplicated illness enough to justify their risks. Treatment decisions change when symptoms are severe, persistent, involve the eye or nervous system, or occur in someone with reduced immune protection.

Arrange a clinical assessment instead of choosing an antibiotic yourself.
