Can seborrheic dermatitis cause dandruff?

Dandruff describes visible flakes from the scalp, while seborrheic dermatitis is an inflammatory skin condition that can cause those flakes. The scale may be white or yellowish, with itch, redness, or greasy areas. Seborrheic dermatitis can also affect the eyebrows, sides of the nose, ears, or beard area.
