Shihab Muhammad Ali joins Zavis as Chief Commercial Officer

Zavis is pleased to announce the appointment of Shihab Muhammad Ali as Chief Commercial Officer. He joins to lead the company’s commercial growth across the UAE, the GCC and international markets, helping healthcare providers run more efficient operations and patients receive high-quality care.

Shihab began his career in technology sales in 2000 and has worked in Dubai since 2004. His experience spans clinic software, healthcare marketplaces and hospital information systems, with a focus on growing software businesses, entering new markets and building commercial partnerships.

Leadership in healthcare technology

During nine years at Practo, Shihab progressed from Area Sales Manager to City Sales Head for Dubai. He expanded the adoption of Insta HMS and launched the Practo.com marketplace in the city, working across both healthcare operations and patient access.

Most recently, he led sales and partnerships at Intuit Micro for Simplex HIMES, its hospital information system serving the Middle East and Africa.

These roles have given him a deep understanding of the region’s healthcare sector and the operational needs of clinics and hospitals.

As Chief Commercial Officer, Shihab will lead market expansion, strengthen commercial partnerships and bring Zavis to more healthcare organisations.

Zavis connects the entire patient journey, from the first enquiry through appointments, payments and ongoing follow-ups, with the provider’s existing systems. By bringing these operations together and automating routine work, the platform gives healthcare teams more time to focus on patients.

Shihab will help advance Zavis’s ambition to make healthcare operations fully autonomous, enabling doctors to focus on delivering high-quality care while the platform manages the work around it.
