Milia in the private area: what to know

Milia are small, firm cysts containing trapped keratin. They can follow irritation, shaving, friction, healing skin, or an occlusive product, and sometimes appear without a clear trigger. On genital or nearby skin, similar-looking bumps can have other causes, including blocked follicles, irritation, or infection, so appearance alone is not enough.
