Milia face removal: what to know

Milia are small cysts filled with keratin, often seen as firm pale beads on the cheeks, forehead, nose, or around the eyes. They are different from whiteheads, although both can appear as light bumps. A clinician checks the spot before treatment because not every facial bump is milia and the safest method depends on its depth and position.

Use gentle cleansing and avoid picking while you decide whether treatment is needed. Professional options may include careful extraction, or curettage and cautery in selected cases.
