What should you know about lutech colposcope?

The word colposcope describes the instrument, while Lutech refers to a manufacturer or model range. The device stays outside the body and uses light and magnification to make surface changes easier to see. A colposcope does not itself diagnose cancer or remove abnormal tissue. During colposcopy, a clinician may apply solutions to the cervix, look for areas needing closer attention, and take a small biopsy when appropriate.

Before the appointment, tell the clinic if you could be pregnant, have unusual bleeding, or use medicines that affect bleeding. The examination takes place with you positioned as for a cervical screening test. You may feel pressure from the speculum and brief stinging from a solution. If a biopsy is taken, mild cramping or spotting can follow. Colposcopy is an assessment step; treatment, such as loop excision of the cervix, is a separate decision based on the findings.

Contact the clinic if bleeding after a biopsy becomes heavy, pain is severe or worsening, or you develop fever, feeling unwell, or an unpleasant-smelling discharge. Seek urgent help for fainting, severe pelvic pain, or bleeding that does not settle. Ask when your results will be available and what follow-up is planned, even if the examination itself felt straightforward.
