Diet for hair fall control

Short answer
A consistent, varied diet may reduce shedding linked to undernutrition, but food changes alone do not control every type of hair loss.
This answers one question. It is not a diagnosis and does not replace an assessment by a licensed doctor.

Why shedding happens
Hair growth is sensitive to low energy intake, missing nutrients and physical stress. A diet can be adequate while shedding still comes from telogen effluvium, alopecia areata, male pattern hair loss, female pattern hair loss, scalp ringworm or traction alopecia. The amount, distribution and speed of loss matter more than a popular food list. A sudden change deserves attention even when meals seem healthy.
Steps that support control
Eat regular meals containing protein, colourful produce, nourishing carbohydrates and unsaturated fats. Replace restricted foods thoughtfully instead of cutting more items. Keep a record of recent illness, weight change, medicines, hairstyles and scalp symptoms. Avoid megadose supplements: excess intake can be harmful and may complicate assessment. Loosen styles that pull, reduce harsh processing and use gentle scalp care.
When to seek help
Arrange a medical review if shedding persists, accelerates, forms patches, leaves a shiny area, or comes with itch, scale, tenderness or broken hairs. Seek prompt care for a painful swollen scalp, pus, fever, or a rapidly spreading rash. Examination can separate a nutrition-related pattern from a condition needing prescription treatment.
Questions for your doctor
What pattern do you see on my scalp? Should nutrition, thyroid or other causes be checked? Which supplements should I avoid, and what treatment fits this diagnosis?

Questions people ask
Can a hair diet stop all shedding?
No. Nutrition can help when intake is inadequate, while other patterns need their own evaluation and treatment.
Are hair vitamins a good first step?
They are not automatically helpful; discuss testing and safe doses before taking them.
