Cyst in scalp pictures: what to know

A pilar cyst may appear as a smooth, skin-colored or slightly different-colored bump in a hair-bearing area. It can be difficult to see through dense hair, and lighting, camera angle, and hair parting can change its appearance. Some cysts are felt more easily than they are seen.
