When to worry about flank pain with a kidney infection

Flank Pain is a very common presentation of Kidney Infection. It may be felt in the back or side beneath the ribs, often alongside fever, chills, burning urination, nausea, or a frequent need to urinate. Pain that is severe, rapidly worsening, or accompanied by marked weakness can signal that the infection needs more urgent treatment. Flank pain can also have causes unrelated to the urinary system, so its pattern and accompanying symptoms matter.
