What does dizziness feel like with migraine?

Some people feel that the room moves, while others feel pulled off balance or faint without actually losing consciousness. Bright light, noise, movement, screens, or busy surroundings may make the sensation harder to tolerate. Head pain may be present, but dizziness can also occur before, during, or without a typical headache. Nausea, sensitivity to light or sound, visual changes, and difficulty concentrating can provide useful context. Move to a quiet, dim environment and sit or lie down until your balance improves. Keep water nearby if you can drink comfortably, avoid driving, and reduce screen or visual motion. Follow a treatment plan already prescribed for your migraine rather than taking unfamiliar medicine without advice. Keep a record of triggers, sleep, meals, headache features, dizziness, and recovery; this can help a clinician recognise a pattern and review treatment.

Get urgent help for sudden severe dizziness with weakness, numbness, facial drooping, speech trouble, confusion, fainting, a severe new headache, chest pain, or inability to walk. Seek prompt care after a head injury, with persistent vomiting, fever and neck stiffness, or a first episode that is intense or unlike your usual migraine.
