What should you know about V-line Botox?

Botulinum toxin type A temporarily reduces nerve signals to injected muscles. In a V-line plan, a qualified injector may assess the masseter muscles at the sides of the jaw when muscle bulk contributes to a broad lower-face appearance or clenching. The treatment does not reshape bone, remove fat, or replace a structural jaw procedure.

The result depends on anatomy, muscle strength, injection placement, and the reason for the jaw width. Existing Wrinkles or Crow’s Feet are separate concerns and need their own assessment. Dermal Fillers work through a different mechanism and may be discussed for selected contour goals.

Choose a licensed medical injector who examines your bite, facial movement, jaw function, and medical history. Mention pregnancy or breastfeeding, swallowing problems, neuromuscular conditions, allergies, previous toxin injections, and medicines that affect bleeding.

For a short time, injection-site tenderness, swelling, bruising, headache, or chewing fatigue can occur. Follow the clinic’s aftercare instructions and avoid rubbing the sites. Do not judge the final contour immediately; the muscle response develops gradually and should be reviewed by the injector.

Ask which muscle is contributing to the shape, whether clenching or another jaw issue is present, what changes are realistic, how the injector will limit asymmetry, which product is being used, and how complications will be managed.
