What should you know about stomach bloating after colonoscopy?

If symptoms do not begin settling, call the unit that performed the test and describe the timing, pain, bowel movements, and any bleeding.

Seek urgent help for severe or increasing abdominal pain, a hard or rapidly enlarging abdomen, repeated vomiting, fever, faintness, breathing difficulty, or heavy or persistent rectal bleeding. These signs can indicate a complication requiring examination. Do not wait for the routine result appointment if they occur.
