Short answer
A squeezing headache often feels like steady pressure around the forehead, temples or back of the head and may improve with rest, fluids and relief from muscle tension.
This answers one question. It is not a diagnosis and does not replace an assessment by a licensed doctor.

The short answer
A squeezing headache often feels like steady pressure around the forehead, temples or back of the head and may improve with rest, fluids and relief from muscle tension. The sensation is commonly described as a tight band rather than a pulsing pain. The pattern, duration and accompanying symptoms help a clinician decide whether further assessment is needed.
What a squeezing headache can mean
A tight, pressure-like headache can occur when neck, scalp or jaw muscles become tense. Long periods at a screen, poor posture, emotional strain, missed meals, too little fluid or changes in sleep can contribute. A cold, allergic rhinitis, chronic sinusitis or another infection may also present with head pressure or headache. Dehydration and heat exhaustion can cause headache alongside thirst, weakness, dizziness or heavy sweating.
Notice whether the pain is on both sides, whether movement changes it, and whether light, sound, nausea, fever, blocked nose or neck stiffness occurs. Keeping a brief record of triggers, timing and medicines can make a medical consultation more useful. Frequent use of pain medicines can itself contribute to recurring headaches, so follow the label and ask a pharmacist or clinician if you need them often.
What you can do now
Move away from bright screens, loosen your shoulders and gently stretch your neck without forcing it. Drink water and eat something if you have missed a meal. A quiet room, regular sleep and a warm or cool compress may ease the pressure. If you use an over-the-counter pain reliever, check that it is suitable for you, follow the package directions and avoid combining products with the same ingredient.
Arrange a routine appointment if headaches keep returning, last longer than expected, interfere with work or sleep, or change from your usual pattern. Mention recent illness, heat exposure, new medicines, vision changes, jaw clenching and how often you take pain relief.
When to seek urgent care
Seek emergency help for a sudden, severe headache; a headache after a head injury; fainting, confusion, a seizure, new weakness or numbness, trouble speaking, or a new loss of vision. Urgent assessment is also needed when headache comes with a high fever and stiff neck, repeated vomiting, severe dehydration, or a rapidly worsening illness.
Do not delay care if you are pregnant or recently gave birth and develop a severe or unusual headache, or if the pain is new and you have a weakened immune system. In the UAE, call local emergency services when symptoms are severe or you cannot travel safely.
Questions for your doctor
Ask: What pattern does my headache suggest? Could my medicines, sleep, hydration, eyesight, jaw tension or neck posture be contributing? Which pain reliever is appropriate for me, and how often can I take it? What symptoms should prompt urgent care? Would a diary or examination help identify a trigger?

Questions people ask
Is a squeezing headache the same as a migraine?
Not necessarily. A squeezing pattern often feels like pressure, while migraine may involve throbbing pain, nausea or sensitivity to light and sound. A clinician can assess overlapping symptoms.
Can dehydration cause a squeezing headache?
Dehydration can present with headache, especially with thirst, dark urine, tiredness or dizziness. Sip fluids and seek care if you cannot keep fluids down or symptoms are severe.
When should recurring squeezing headaches be checked?
Book a routine assessment when headaches recur, disrupt daily activities, require frequent pain medicine or become different from your usual pattern.
