What should you know about silver stretch marks?

Stretch marks, also called striae, form when skin is stretched or changes quickly and supporting fibres are altered. They can occur on the abdomen, hips, thighs, breasts, upper arms, or other areas. As a mark matures, its colour may become pale, white, or silvery, and its texture can feel slightly indented or ridged. Silver colour alone does not indicate a dangerous disease.
