Short answer

Scarlet microneedling RF combines fine needles with radiofrequency heat to stimulate controlled skin remodelling, but suitability varies.

This answers one question. It is not a diagnosis and does not replace an assessment by a licensed doctor.

How the treatment works

The device places insulated or non-insulated needles at selected depths, then delivers radiofrequency energy beneath the surface. This creates controlled thermal stimulation while the needle pattern creates tiny treatment channels. The aim may include improving texture, fine lines, acne-scar appearance, or mild laxity. It is distinct from standard Microneedling and from Fractional Laser Treatment, which uses light-based energy. Skin tone, active inflammation, pigmentation history, and the treatment area affect planning.

Preparing and recovering

During consultation, disclose active acne, eczema, cold sores, keloid scarring, medicines, pregnancy, and recent tanning or energy treatments. Follow the clinic’s instructions about cleansing and topical products. Redness, warmth, swelling, pinpoint crusting, and sensitivity can occur for a short period. Use gentle skincare and strict sun protection while the surface settles; do not pick crusts or apply irritating products until advised. Results develop gradually as the skin remodels.

When to seek care

Contact the treating clinic for increasing pain, spreading redness, pus, fever, marked swelling, persistent blistering, or pigment changes that worsen rather than settle. Urgent assessment is needed for facial swelling with breathing difficulty or eye symptoms. A delayed reaction can require examination even when the initial recovery seemed uncomplicated.

Questions for your doctor

What skin concern is this treatment intended to address? Which needle depth and energy plan suit my skin? How long should I pause retinoids, acids, or other procedures? What aftercare is essential, and when should an unexpected reaction be reviewed?

Questions people ask

Is Scarlet RF the same as ordinary microneedling?

No. It adds radiofrequency energy beneath the skin, so the depth, heat, aftercare, and possible reactions differ.

Can it treat melasma?

Pigmentation-prone skin needs careful assessment because heat or inflammation can sometimes worsen discoloration. Discuss Melasma before booking treatment.
