Scalp Mesotherapy Before and After: What to Know

Before treatment, the clinician reviews your hair pattern, scalp condition, medicines and allergies. Photographs taken in consistent lighting can help compare the scalp over time. The injected product and treatment plan vary, so an image from another person cannot predict your result.

After treatment, tiny raised spots, warmth, itching or bruising can appear around injection points. These reactions generally settle as the skin recovers. Mesotherapy is intended to support the scalp and hair concerns being treated; it does not instantly create new hair or identify the cause of hair loss.

Arrive with a clean scalp and tell the clinician about scalp inflammation, recent procedures, bleeding problems and every medicine or supplement you use. Follow the clinic’s instructions about washing, exercise, heat, sun exposure and hair products. Avoid scratching or rubbing treated areas, and use only products approved for the healing skin.

Arrange a review if the plan includes more than one visit. Compare photographs only after the clinician’s suggested interval, because early swelling can make the scalp look fuller or uneven.

Contact the treating clinic promptly if pain, redness, warmth or swelling is worsening rather than settling, or if drainage, spreading rash or fever develops. Seek urgent medical help for facial swelling, breathing difficulty, faintness or other signs of a severe allergic reaction.
