Contact the maternity or emergency service arranging your assessment and attend follow-up scans and blood tests. A transvaginal ultrasound may provide clearer views of the uterus and adnexa. Treatment depends on the pregnancy location, size, hormone pattern, symptoms and overall stability. Options can include monitored expectant care, medicine or surgery; removal of a damaged tube is called salpingectomy. Do not take new medicines without checking, and avoid delaying review because pain temporarily improves.

Call emergency services for severe or worsening pelvic pain, shoulder-tip pain, fainting, marked dizziness, weakness, heavy vaginal bleeding or collapse. These symptoms can signal internal bleeding. Even mild one-sided pain or bleeding in early pregnancy needs prompt clinical advice, because symptoms and scan findings can change quickly.

Ask where the pregnancy is located, what the Doppler finding means in your scan, which repeat tests are needed, and which symptoms require immediate transfer to hospital.
