The handpiece contains tiny needles that enter the skin to a planned depth. Once positioned, the machine delivers radiofrequency energy, creating heat below the surface while the needles create controlled channels. A clinician can select settings according to the concern, skin thickness, treatment area, and desired intensity. The device itself does not decide whether treatment is appropriate, and a familiar brand name cannot replace a medical assessment.

The machine may be used for texture concerns, acne scars, fine lines, or selected body areas. Outcomes and recovery vary with technique, skin response, and aftercare, so a consultation should include alternatives and realistic limits.

Ask who will operate the machine, what training they have, which device is being used, and how single-use needle tips or sterilisation are handled. Mention active skin disease, infection, cold sores, pregnancy, medicines, tanning, and raised-scar history. Follow pre-treatment instructions. Afterwards, use gentle care, avoid picking or harsh products, and protect treated skin from sunlight. Keep the review appointment so settings can be adjusted based on healing.

Persistent colour change, numbness, or worsening texture should be assessed before another session. Get urgent help for breathing difficulty or swelling of the face, lips, or tongue.
