What should you know about osteoporosis posture?

Short answer
Osteoporosis can contribute to a rounded posture when weakened spinal bones develop compression fractures.
This answers one question. It is not a diagnosis and does not replace an assessment by a licensed doctor.

Why posture may change
The bones of the spine are stacked to support the body. If one or more becomes compressed, the spine may gradually curve forward, causing a stooped appearance, reduced height, muscle fatigue, or back pain. Some vertebral compression fractures cause little or no pain and are noticed only when posture or height changes. Poor posture by itself does not diagnose osteoporosis, and a rounded back can have other causes. The key concern is whether a new change reflects a spinal fracture or another condition.
Protect your back and mobility
Ask for assessment if your posture has changed, you have lost height, or back pain followed a small movement. A clinician may consider a bone density scan and spinal imaging when a vertebral fracture is suspected. Physiotherapy can teach back-extensor strengthening, balance work, safe lifting, and ways to move without repeated forceful bending or twisting. Keep active within your limits, use supportive positioning for sitting and sleeping, and address trip hazards at home. Treatment for osteoporosis may reduce future fracture risk, but an existing curve may not fully straighten.
When posture changes need prompt care
Seek prompt medical review for sudden or escalating back pain, pain after a minor fall, rapid loss of height, or a new stoop that interferes with walking or breathing comfortably. Emergency assessment is needed for back pain with new leg weakness, numbness, or bladder or bowel changes. Do not force the spine straight or begin vigorous back exercises during severe new pain before an injury has been assessed.
Questions for your doctor or physiotherapist
Ask whether your posture change could indicate a vertebral compression fracture and whether imaging is needed. Discuss exercises that strengthen the back safely, movements to modify, pain-control options, footwear and balance support, and whether your bone-health treatment needs review.
