Microneedling on stretch marks: before and after

A before photograph records the starting colour, width, and texture of the marks under similar lighting. Immediately after treatment, the area may look red, feel warm or tight, and show tiny pinpoint marks. As the skin settles, mild dryness or flaking can occur. The intended change develops as the skin heals and remodels, so comparison is more useful after recovery than on the same day. Stretch marks can become less noticeable, but they are a type of scar-like change and may not disappear.

Tell the clinician about eczema, cold sores, active acne, medicines, allergies, and previous pigment changes. Avoid treatment over broken, irritated, or infected skin. Keep the area clean after the session, use only recommended products, avoid scratching, and protect it from sunlight while it heals. Do not judge the final appearance from an early photograph.
