What should you know about microneedling for dark spots?

A dark spot can follow inflammation, sun exposure, acne, injury, or hormonal change. Melasma often appears as broader, recurring patches, while Sun-Damaged Skin can include uneven colour and rough texture. Microneedling creates tiny controlled channels and may support collagen remodelling, but skin injury can also temporarily deepen pigmentation in some people. It is not a universal pigment treatment and should not be used on a spot that has not been assessed.

Urgent care is appropriate for breathing difficulty, facial swelling, or widespread blistering.
