Other options include Botox for sweating, prescription antiperspirants, or medicines that reduce nerve signalling. Do not use a home device over broken or irritated skin, and disclose pacemakers, metal implants, pregnancy, reduced sensation, or a history of poor wound healing before treatment.

Seek urgent medical care for sudden heavy sweating with chest pain, fainting, confusion, severe weakness, trouble breathing, or signs of heat illness or low blood sugar. Arrange a medical review for unexplained night sweats, sweating with palpitations or tremor, or a sudden change from your usual pattern. After a device treatment, report blistering, persistent numbness, severe pain, or spreading redness.
