Call emergency services or attend an emergency department for sudden or severe lower abdominal pain, shoulder-tip pain, fainting, marked dizziness, or heavy vaginal bleeding. These symptoms can signal internal bleeding and need urgent assessment, whether or not an earlier scan was reassuring. A scan cannot replace urgent care when symptoms are severe.
