How Does RF Microneedling Work?

The needles create precise treatment points, while the energy heats tissue at a selected depth. This can trigger a wound-healing response without treating every part of the surface in the same way. Your clinician checks the treatment area, skin tone, active acne, infection, cold sores, scarring history and medicines before choosing settings. Numbing cream may be used. After treatment, pinpoint bleeding, redness, swelling, warmth and roughness can occur. Use only the recommended cleanser and moisturiser, avoid picking or scrubbing, and protect the area from sun while it settles. Delay treatment if the skin is actively infected or inflamed unless your clinician gives another plan.

Contact the clinic if redness is spreading, pain is intensifying, swelling is severe, or blisters, pus, fever or an unusual dark or light patch appears. Get urgent help for facial swelling that affects breathing or swallowing. These findings can signal a complication or infection and should not be managed by adding products on your own.
