Get urgent medical help for chest tightness with breathlessness, sweating, faintness, or pain spreading to the arm or jaw. Seek prompt assessment for vomiting blood, black stools, repeated vomiting, food sticking, painful swallowing, unexplained weight loss, or severe abdominal pain. A cough that persists or difficulty sleeping because of reflux also deserves review; these symptoms should not be used to judge whether a homeopathic product is working.
