Headache moving around the head

Pain that shifts from the forehead to the temples or back of the head may follow tight neck and scalp muscles, screen use, stress, or poor posture. Throbbing pain with nausea or sensitivity to light can fit migraine. Congestion, facial pressure, or reduced smell may occur with Allergic Rhinitis, Chronic Sinusitis, or a Common Cold. Fever, body aches, or recent exposure can point toward COVID-19; heat and low fluid intake can contribute to Dehydration or Heat Exhaustion.

Write down when the pain starts, where it travels, its quality, possible triggers, and associated symptoms. Move away from bright screens, relax your jaw and shoulders, drink fluids, and eat regularly if you can. Use any recommended medicine according to its label and avoid taking painkillers repeatedly without advice. A clinician may need to assess recurring, worsening, or function-limiting headaches.

Get emergency help for a sudden explosive headache, new weakness, facial droop, seizure, confusion, fainting, trouble speaking, severe neck stiffness, or vision loss. Seek prompt care for headache with high fever, repeated vomiting, a new rash, or severe illness after heat exposure. Dengue Fever can also cause headache with fever and body aches, so mention travel or mosquito exposure.
