A diode laser is a device that emits a specific band of light. In dermatology and aesthetics, the light may be absorbed more strongly by pigment in a hair shaft than by nearby skin, allowing controlled heating around the follicle during laser hair removal. “Focusing” describes directing energy to the intended area; it does not mean every person or every hair responds in the same way.

Results depend on hair colour, hair thickness, skin tone, treatment area, device settings, and the growth cycle. Fine, light, grey, or red hair may respond differently because it contains less of the target pigment.

Choose a qualified practitioner who examines your skin and discusses the device, settings, cooling method, eye protection, and realistic goals. Avoid tanning before treatment and follow the clinic's instructions about shaving, skincare products, and sun exposure.
