Endometriosis cramps during ovulation: what to know

Ovulation can produce a one-sided ache in some people, but endometriosis may make this monthly change more intense or longer-lasting. Endometriosis tissue can irritate the lining of the pelvis, ovaries, bowel, or bladder. Scarring and adhesions may also restrict movement between organs, so releasing an egg can be felt as pulling, stabbing, pressure, or deep pelvic pain.
