Easy way to get rid of skin tags

A skin tag is a soft, flesh-coloured growth that often hangs from a narrow base. It may catch on clothing or jewellery, rub in a skin fold, or become irritated. A growth that looks similar may be a mole or another lesion, so identification matters before removal.

Home cutting, tying, burning, or applying unapproved chemicals can cause bleeding, infection, scarring, or a missed diagnosis. Do not share or reuse removal products around the neck, eyelids, or other delicate sites.

Book a dermatology appointment if the tag is bothersome, repeatedly traumatised, or cosmetically distressing. After examination, a clinician may discuss snip removal, cryotherapy, or electrosurgery. The choice depends on the lesion’s size, attachment, location, and your skin’s healing history.

Keep the area clean and avoid rubbing it while deciding. Follow the aftercare instructions provided after a procedure, including how to protect the site and what changes should prompt contact.

Arrange prompt medical review if a growth grows quickly, changes colour or shape, bleeds without being rubbed, becomes persistently painful, or develops an open sore.
