Dry scalp without itching: what to know

Fine white flakes may follow dry weather, hot water, over-washing, or residue from styling products. Dandruff and Seborrheic Dermatitis can produce scale even when itch is absent. Thick scale or a well-defined red area may fit Scalp Psoriasis. Small pustules or sore bumps suggest Folliculitis.
