Do topical retinoids treat milia?

Milia are small, firm, white or skin-coloured cysts containing trapped keratin, often seen around the eyes or on the cheeks. A retinoid may support shedding and reduce the formation of some new cysts, but it may not dissolve a cyst that is already present.
