Does PRP for hair loss help with thinning hair?

Thinning can mean fewer hairs, finer hairs, increased shedding, or a combination. PRP uses concentrated platelets from your own blood, injected into planned scalp areas, to provide local signals that may support follicle function.

The same visible thinning can arise from pattern hair loss, temporary shedding, traction, inflammation, or a medical issue. PRP may be considered for some patterns, but it does not correct tight hairstyles, untreated scalp disease, or every internal trigger.

Have the scalp examined before treatment. Note where thinning started, how quickly it changed, and whether you see more hair in the shower or on your pillow. Mention pregnancy, illness, stress, new medicines, restrictive eating, and styling practices.
