IPL means intense pulsed light. A proper assessment is essential because skin tone, recent tanning, pigment changes, medicines, and the possibility of a changing mole affect safety and treatment choice. IPL does not diagnose a suspicious mark, and a clinician may recommend examination before treating any lesion that is new, changing, bleeding, or unlike your other spots.
