The test commonly uses all urine passed during a collection period, often including a final sample at the end. The container must be stored as instructed, and missing a sample can affect interpretation. Your clinician may ask about steroid medicines, pregnancy, stress, sleep pattern, kidney function, and other medicines because these can influence results or how they are understood. One result rarely explains symptoms by itself; the value is compared with the laboratory range and your clinical picture.
