What to know about Botox liquid

Botox is a brand name commonly used for botulinum toxin type A treatment. The product is handled and prepared by a medical professional; it is not a skincare liquid for home application. The injected medicine reduces nerve signals to selected muscles, which can soften movement-related wrinkles such as frown lines or lines at the outer eyes. It does not work like a cream, and it does not add volume in the way Dermal Fillers do. The exact preparation, injection sites, and amount depend on the product and the area being treated.

Have a consultation before any injection. Tell the clinician about medical conditions, medicines, allergies, previous toxin treatments, pregnancy or breastfeeding, and any swallowing or breathing problems.
