Botox for the line between the eyebrows

The vertical creases between the eyebrows are often called frown lines or glabellar lines. They become more visible when you concentrate, frown, or squint, and may remain when your face is relaxed as the skin repeatedly folds. Botox uses botulinum toxin type A to reduce signals from nerves to selected muscles. It does not fill a groove or replace lost skin volume, so a deep line at rest may soften rather than disappear. It also does not treat every facial wrinkle; lines around the eyes, known as Crow's Feet, involve different muscles.

Choose a qualified medical professional who can assess your facial movement, eyelid position, medicines, allergies, pregnancy plans, and previous injections. Ask which muscles and amount will be used, and whether your goal is a softer expression or less movement. Treatment involves small injections, followed by a period in which the effect develops. Follow the provider's instructions about rubbing the area, exercise, makeup, and review appointments. Contact the treating clinic promptly if you develop marked eyelid or brow drooping, unusual facial weakness, spreading redness, increasing swelling, severe pain, or vision changes. Seek urgent medical help for trouble breathing, swallowing, speaking, or generalized weakness after an injection. Mild tenderness or a small bruise can occur, but symptoms that worsen or feel unexpected deserve assessment.
