What should you know about Biolight ECG machine?

An ECG can display heart rate, rhythm, and the timing of electrical signals as waveforms. The machine produces a recording; a trained clinician interprets it alongside symptoms, examination findings, and medical history. A normal recording does not explain every kind of chest discomfort or intermittent rhythm problem, and an automated machine message is not a diagnosis.

Wear clothing that allows access to the chest, arms, and legs, and tell the clinician about medicines, implanted devices, or skin irritation. Electrodes are placed on clean skin while you lie still and breathe normally. The recording is brief and does not send electricity into your body. You can ask how the result will be reviewed and whether further testing is needed.

Call emergency services for chest pressure, severe breathlessness, fainting, blue lips, sudden weakness, or a fast or irregular heartbeat with feeling unwell. An ECG appointment should not delay urgent assessment. Report new palpitations, dizziness, or exertional symptoms promptly even if a previous recording was reassuring.

What question is this ECG intended to answer? Was the tracing technically clear? Do my symptoms require monitoring over a longer period, blood tests, or imaging? When and how will I receive the clinician’s interpretation?
