Biafine for wrinkles: what to know

Hydrated skin can temporarily look smoother because dryness makes fine lines more noticeable. That cosmetic effect does not mean the product has changed the structural causes of wrinkles, such as repeated facial movement, collagen changes or sun damage.

Biafine is a trolamine-containing skin emulsion marketed in some countries for certain minor burns and superficial, non-infected wounds. It is a skin-recovery product rather than a medicine that relaxes facial muscles, restores lost volume or resurfaces sun-damaged skin.

Do not start Biafine solely as an anti-wrinkle treatment.
