Small extraction sites are left across the donor zone rather than a long linear incision.

Robotic assistance does not create new follicles or stop continuing hair loss. The visible result depends on donor supply, graft survival, hair calibre, curl, colour contrast, scalp condition and the clinician's placement plan.

Arrange an in-person scalp and donor-area examination. Bring a list of medicines and supplements, describe previous hair treatments, and mention bleeding problems, poor wound healing, keloid scars, skin disease or allergies. Contact the treating clinic promptly if pain or swelling is worsening instead of settling, bleeding does not stop with the advised pressure, or the scalp develops spreading redness, warmth, pus, an unpleasant smell or fever. Urgent assessment is appropriate for facial swelling that affects breathing or vision, fainting, chest pain, or signs of a severe allergic reaction.

Sudden patchy loss, active scalp inflammation or rapid shedding before surgery also deserves medical assessment because the cause may change whether transplantation is suitable.

Ask what diagnosis is causing your hair loss, whether your donor density supports the proposed coverage, how the hairline will be planned for future thinning, and what aftercare is available if healing is delayed. It is also useful to ask how grafts are stored and placed, how the team reduces overharvesting, and what result would be realistic for your hair characteristics.
