Aminzer laser hair removal: what to check before treatment

The device directs light toward pigment in hair, creating heat that damages follicles capable of producing new growth. Hair cycles mean not every follicle is treatable at the same visit, and regrowth may still occur. Results vary with hair colour and thickness, skin tone, body area, hormones, device type and settings. Very light, grey or white hair contains little pigment for conventional hair-removal lasers to target. Aminzer may be a clinic, service or marketing name, so ask what machine will actually touch your skin.

Tell the provider about tanning, recent sun exposure, skin conditions, scarring tendency, pregnancy, previous reactions and medicines that affect the skin or sensitivity to light. Follow the clinic's instructions about shaving and avoid waxing, threading or plucking beforehand because the target hair needs to remain in the follicle. Protective eyewear is necessary during treatment. Afterwards, minimise heat, friction and sun exposure as directed, use gentle products, and do not pick at irritated skin.

Temporary warmth, redness or swelling around follicles can follow a session. Contact the clinic if discomfort is intensifying rather than settling, or if you notice blisters, crusting, open skin, marked swelling, spreading redness, pus or an unexpected light or dark colour change. Obtain urgent medical help for eye pain or any visual disturbance after laser exposure, or for breathing difficulty, facial swelling or faintness.

Ask for the device manufacturer, model and laser technology, then confirm the operator's licence and experience with your skin tone. Discuss whether a test area is appropriate, how settings are selected, what cooling and eye protection are used, and who reviews adverse reactions. If unwanted hair appeared suddenly or occurs with acne, scalp thinning, menstrual changes or voice changes, ask whether a medical assessment for an underlying hormonal cause should come before cosmetic treatment.
