Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation in Dubai

Licensed physiotherapy & rehabilitation listed in Dubai. Appearing here means a provider holds a UAE licence in this category — not that it offers physiotherapy vs workplace ergonomic assessment, which is worth confirming with the clinic before you book.

Ordered by verification status and how complete each clinic's public record is, then alphabetically. This is a directory listing, not a ranking — Zavis does not rate or recommend providers.

A factual listing drawn from the DHA, DOH and MOHAP licence registers. It is not a referral, an endorsement, or advice that any of these providers is right for you.

How the two options differ

Physiotherapy treats movement problems in the person, while ergonomic assessment changes work demands and setup around the person.

When physiotherapy may fit

Consider physiotherapy when symptoms limit walking, lifting, reaching, sleep, exercise, or everyday tasks. A physiotherapist can examine joint movement, muscle control, flexibility, balance, and the way a task is performed. The plan may include graded exercise, education, manual techniques, and a home routine. It can also help after an injury or operation, when the body needs a staged return to normal activity.

When ergonomic assessment may fit

Consider workplace ergonomic assessment when discomfort builds during a particular shift, workstation setup, tool use, driving pattern, or repeated task. The assessment looks at the interaction between the worker, equipment, workspace, pace, and task design. Recommendations might include screen or chair adjustment, better tool height, load-handling changes, task rotation, or planned movement breaks. These changes address exposure at work but do not diagnose a medical condition.

Limitations and safety points

Physiotherapy can temporarily increase muscle soreness when activity is progressed, and an exercise may need adjustment if pain, swelling, weakness, or altered sensation worsens. Ergonomic changes may be unsuitable if they are made without understanding the job or the person’s physical limits. Seek prompt medical assessment for severe or rapidly worsening pain, a new major loss of strength, loss of bladder or bowel control, or injury with deformity. Do not use a workstation change as a substitute for assessment of a serious symptom.

When neither is the right first step

Neither option should be the first step when there has been a serious injury, unexplained fever with joint pain, severe pain at rest, progressive neurological symptoms, or a limb that is cold, pale, or markedly swollen. A doctor or urgent service can decide whether imaging, medication, specialist review, or another investigation is needed. If work is unsafe because of immediate hazards, report the hazard and follow workplace safety procedures while arranging healthcare.

How a clinician can guide the choice

A clinician will usually connect the symptom pattern with the activities that provoke it. They may ask when symptoms began, whether they improve away from work, what movements are restricted, and whether there was an injury. Physiotherapy is often prioritised when impairment in movement or capacity is central. Ergonomic assessment is often added when the work environment repeatedly triggers symptoms. A combined approach can make sense: restore capacity with treatment while reducing the task demands that keep irritating the area. Bring a description of your workday, equipment, symptom changes, and goals to the appointment.

Questions people ask

Can ergonomic assessment replace physiotherapy?

It can reduce a work trigger, but it does not replace physiotherapy when pain, weakness, restricted movement, or reduced function needs clinical assessment and rehabilitation.

Can I need both services?

Yes. Physiotherapy can build movement capacity while ergonomic changes reduce repeated strain during the working day.
