Yeast rash on the stomach: what it can mean

Sweat can remain against the abdomen, particularly where skin overlaps or clothing presses. Friction can weaken the surface, allowing irritation and yeast overgrowth to continue. A smooth red patch, soreness or small surrounding spots may occur. However, a stomach rash may also reflect a new product, medication reaction, heat rash, psoriasis or another infection, so a diagnosis needs context.

Rinse gently, pat dry and give the area time without tight waistbands when practical. Use clean, dry clothing and separate towels for the affected area.
