White spots on skin and fungus medicine

A superficial fungal rash may cause lighter or darker patches with fine scale, mild itch, or a tendency to recur in warm, sweaty areas. Other pale marks are smooth and do not respond to antifungal medicine. Irritation, eczema, pigment loss, and post-inflammatory change can look similar. A clinician may inspect the scale and border and take a small surface sample when the diagnosis is unclear.
