A respiratory physician evaluates breathing and related lung conditions. A thoracic surgeon considers an operation when the tumour and fitness make surgery suitable. A radiation oncologist plans radiotherapy, while a medical oncologist discusses medicines. Pathologists test tumour tissue, and radiologists interpret scans. Molecular testing may help identify whether targeted therapy or immunotherapy is relevant.
