Follow the agreed plan, take medicines only as directed, and ask about prevention if attacks interfere with work, sleep, or daily activities.

Seek emergency help for a sudden severe headache, new weakness or numbness on one side, trouble speaking, seizure, fainting, confusion, vision loss, fever with a stiff neck, or headache after a significant head injury. Get prompt medical review for a first or rapidly worsening headache, repeated vomiting, or a major change from your usual pattern. Do not wait for a routine video appointment when these signs occur.
