Arrive with clean skin and avoid picking or scrubbing the treated area. Afterward, use gentle cleansing, moisturiser, and broad-spectrum sunscreen as advised. Mild redness or tightness can occur, so avoid heat, harsh exfoliants, and fragranced products until the skin feels settled.

Contact the clinic if redness intensifies, swelling persists, blisters form, or the treated skin becomes increasingly painful or warm. Prompt assessment is needed for pus, spreading redness, or fever. Microdermabrasion may be unsuitable over an active infection, open wound, or inflamed flare, and another treatment may be more appropriate for deeper scarring or pigmentation.
