What Is Collagen Scaffold Used For?

Cartilage has limited ability to heal on its own because it has little direct blood supply. The material helps hold cells and developing tissue in the intended area while the body forms new repair tissue. It is not a replacement joint and does not restore every type of cartilage damage.
